Professional Programs

The ongoing professional development of young musicians, teaching artists, and general educators is addressed by The Weill Music Institute at Carnegie Hall through a series of five different and innovative programs.

Catered to the individual and professional needs of young artists ages 18 to 35, the Professional Training Workshops provide a special opportunity to explore every aspect of musical life with the leading artists of our time; this season's artists include Osvaldo Golijov and Dawn Upshaw, Zakir Hussain, and György and Márta Kurtág.

The Teaching Artist Collaborative of The Weill Music Institute at Carnegie Hall supports 20 practicing and emerging teaching artists in a yearlong program that provides opportunities to collaborate with master teaching artists, gain tools in workshop settings, and use what is learned in real classroom teaching experiences.
