Community and Family Events

Each year, Carnegie Hall presents more than 70 live music events aimed at families and communities.

These concerts span a range of musical genres from classical to jazz to world music, and take place in the auditoriums at Carnegie Hall and in local venues around the five boroughs of New York.

Carnegie Hall Family Concerts, recommended for children ages 5 to 12, are a wonderful opportunity for parents to introduce their children to the world of music! Performers have included Bobby McFerrin, Sweet Honey In The Rock, and the Orchestra of St. Luke's, and for just $9 per ticket, audience members can enjoy a fun and educational afternoon at Carnegie Hall.

For over 25 years, Carnegie Hall has brought free classical, Latin, jazz, tango, doo-wop, bluegrass, Brazilian, African, Indian, and Caribbean music concerts to New Yorkers of all ages in collaboration with museums; colleges; libraries; community, cultural, and religious centers; and shelters throughout the five boroughs.
