American Composers Orchestra: Orchestra Underground
The American Composers Orchestra presents new music that exploits new technologies in a concert with conductor George Manahan that includes live electronics and a multimedia work by Margaret Brouwer and video artist Kasumi. Guitarist Eliot fisk joins Dennis Russell Davies for a concerto by Robert Beaser, and Jeffrey Milarsky leads the ACO in Fred Ho’s When the Real Dragons Fly, the composer’s defiant “liberation song,” which depicts humanity’s freedom from creative boundaries.
